Kingsley Fanwo, Kogi commissioner for information, has alleged that some politicians with interest in the 2023 presidency hired the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) to discredit Yahaya Bello, the state governor.

EFCC chairman, Abdulrasheed Bawa, said during a Channels TV interview on Tuesday, June 15, 2021 that the agency created its own e-wallet to recover cryptocurrency from criminals.

The Executive Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), Abdulrasheed Bawa, on Tuesday, said the commission recovered about $20 million worth of cryptocurrency loot from cybercriminals, adding that the loot has been saved in the commission’s e-wallet.
