Stocks on Wall Street ended a choppy trading session little-changed on Monday, with several of the year’s high-flying stocks including Tesla and Nvidia sliding in value.

The blue-chip S&P 500 share index struggled to find its footing, dipping down into negative territory for much of the day before a late jump left it flat for the day. Wall Street was mixed Thursday, with investors grappling with the implications of inflation that has soared to its highest in decades, and third-quarter earnings that are starting to show signs of slowing growth.

Stock futures are flat after muted Wall Street session

U.S. stock futures were flat early Thursday morning, following a quiet day of trading on Wednesday.

Futures for the Dow Jones Industrial Average were unchanged. S&P 500 and Nasdaq 100 futures both gained marginally.

During the regular session, the 30-stock Dow rose just 25.07 points to close at 34,600.38. Similarly, the S&P 500 and the Nasdaq Composite ended the day up 0.14%.
